The Hananasif Orphanage Academy opened in the spring of 2007 several hours outside of the country’s capital. A beautiful boarding school set on 300 acres of rural land, the academy serves nearly 100 orphaned and vulnerable children from throughout Tanzania. Adhering to the premise of iBecome, the staff members at Hananasif Orphanage Academy are chosen for their dedication to a new model of orphan care.
The academy cultivates land for farming, and extracurricular opportunities and life skills training abound for the students at this site. By providing quality programming in athletics, technology, the arts, business, and social entrepreneurship, iBecome aims to give all students at the academy a fantastic educational foundation. Educational scholarships for university and overseas study are also critical components to helping transform the students of the Hananasif Orphanage Academy into the new ambassadors and changemakers of our world.
